Cafe the Plaza
Café the Plaza ranks high on the list of Aruba’s most popular restaurants and it is probably one of the island’s oldest. Located in the Renaissance Marketplace, the restaurant keeps celebrating milestones: it opened 23 years ago when Hans Nooter and Harry Koeman took over a struggling restaurant in Harbour Town, as the Renaissance Marketplace was then called. Their touch proved to be gold: as soon as the place changed ownership, patrons appeared as if by magic. The secret of the Dutch Touch of these two: good value, a nice menu and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. After so many years, this still holds true and regulars still keep coming to Café the Plaza.
Café the Plaza is well-known for its outrageous and fun happenings.
Café the Plaza’s weekly craze is Tuesday’s Pub Quiz Night when teams fight for glory. On Wednesdays Café the Plaza holds an All You Can Eat Ribs night, on Thursdays there is a special wine activity with the knowledgeable Fernanda Gimenez at the helm and on Fridays the weekend starts off with a terrific 6 to 7 pm Happy Hour.
